Sly James Firm completed: 19xx The Sly james Firm, a trial lawyers practice, converted the seventh floor of the Old Carnival Building, Downtown Kansas City to their offices. Shaw Hofstra + Associates was selected to bring Mr. Sly James' vision of a space that provokes reaction and interpretation by the viewer to life. The unique entry Sly described to SH+A was achieved through the use of color gradation, punctuation points created by furnishings and architectural details, and the use of marginalised materials such as cork, limestone, perforated steel, and sealed MDF. Another highlight is the custom sliding tube steel doors at each private office entry as well as the conference room. SlyJames Firm is a soulfully distinguished space. |
